Asham & Neal to Face Hearings with the NHL
So I know I went on a mile long diatribe last night with my Game 3 review, but I cannot emphasize enough what a group of cowards the Pittsburgh Penguins played like in their third loss of the QuarterFinals series.
Some good news has broke out, though. Both Arron Asham and James Neal will have hearings on Tuesday for their infractions on the ice yesterday.
Arron Asham will personally visit the NHL's headquarters for his hearing, which is never a positive for said player. He'll have to face the disciplinary authorities for his crosscheck on Brayden Schenn's throat just 14-minutes into the 1st period --
A disgusting display of honor, or lack thereof.
Arron was handed a 5-minute major and game misconduct. He should have been handed a plane ticket.
James Neal -- now Philadelphia's public enemy #1 -- will face two separate hearings; one for his charge on Sean Couturier and another for his high elbow on Claude Giroux while skating his next shift.
Both occurred on top of each other in the 3rd period (which the video below includes) --

My guess is that Asham will get the book thrown at him. Possibly 4 - 6 game suspension.
James could be looking at two separate $2,500 fines, no suspension.
Call it a hunch, because after deciding not to suspend Shea Weber for pulling a WWE move in Game 1 of the Red Wings, Predators series, Shanahan's got a lot of flack to answer to. Making Asham and Neal the scapegoats could be a possibility.
