Chris Pronger isn’t God. He isn’t our Peyton Manning. He isn’t the only talented player on our team. We can win without him. The 22 other guys on the ice need to believe that. To me, it seems they don’t. Better positioning is the best way to make Pronger’s absence less noticeable. Right now it is about as unnoticeable as Yao Ming.

Chris Pronger is a future Hall Of Famer. He didn't get that way from not being his squad's most influential blue liner.

This year, Eric will be skating in the middle of Citizens Bank Park with some of the Flyers greats of past, and rightfully so. I hope he gets the biggest ovation of any player on either day. Hopefully next time I'm in Toronto I get to see the bust of Eric amongst the greats in NHL history in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

First off, I was extremely confused as to why Jody was getting a start in a game we were trying to win and prevent losing a third consecutive time. Secondly, this team needs all the PK players we can get. So scratching Andreas Nodl (one of our forwards on the penalty-kill) for a 4th line skater who commits penalties often.....was a mystery to me.

To shut this team down, you must first control Kessel. To control Kessel, our blue line will have to be massively better than they've been the last six periods. Protecting the slot and crease from Toronto's snipers is critical, though it must be done without giving Phaneuf and/or Schenn an open shot from the points.

That's basically a defensive gameplan for every tilt on the schedule, but getting back to, and perfecting, the basics is probably what this struggling Flyers team needs.

Tuesday night the youthful feel of the Flyers appeared. The youngest members of the orange and black shined brightly, accounting for 7 points, as the rejuvenated Flyers toppled the Senators 7-2.

The Flyers came into Tuesday’s matchup with the Binghamton, ahem, excuse me, Ottawa, Senators looking to improve upon team discipline. After a disappointing loss to the LA Kings, the orange and black pack was looking to reduce their number of trips to the sin bin. Something that, ultimately, cost them the game on Saturday night.

No big deal. His picks are certainly talented. And I'd concur.
