Earlier today TSN's own NHL insider Bob McKenzie broke the news that the Carolina Hurricanes claimed former Philadelphia Flyers forward Andreas Nodl off of waivers. Nodl tallied a total of 1-point (1 A) in 12-games played this season for the Orange & Black, and has a +/- rating of minus-1.

Before last night, Carolina was on a three game losing streak that began with the Flyers exactly one week ago today. Yesterday they managed to break the skid with a win over the Leafs. Nevertheless, Carolina seems to be a squad our Flyers have had more success against than not. Especially this season, with the series record standing at 2 - 0. The 'Canes know this and look to soak in some payback tonight.
