So Jody Shelley went ahead and called out Rangers forward Brandon Dubinsky on HBO's 24/7 Preview. Said Dubinsky is a "weasel."
That's all I needed to know because, honestly, that's all the shit that I gave.
But then Dubinsky went on record yesterday saying Jody Shelley is a "terrible hockey player", and apparently people believe this is the perfect beginning to a dramatic Winter Classic. Firstly, Dubinsky is correct. Shelley is a terrible hockey player. In fact, Shelley's a temporary 4th liner who sees less minutes on the ice than a common prostitute sees her general practitioner. 
And secondly, Dubi is a pest with 1-goal scored this season. His words carry no value. He's just some beak-nosed douche trying to add flavor to this already deliciously spiced rivalry;
“First of all, if I was [Jody Shelley], I’d keep my mouth shut if I don’t play, especially since I never see him on the ice... He’s usually just yapping from the bench, and I guess now he’s yapping from behind the video camera. So that’s about all I have to say. It won’t be long before he’s out of the league, because he’s a terrible hockey player.”
I got one hell of a chuckle. Call me whatever you want, but I sided with Dubinsky on this one for obvious reasons. But then the schmuck had to go and spread some hate in Zac Rinaldo's corner;
“I think he’s an idiot... And I think that, I mean, he’s not really a good hockey player. So if that’s what he tries to do to get under our skin, I don’t think it works very well. He’s not very effective at it. I think they should just keep putting him on the ice, because he’s a liability against us.”
Is this dipshit serious? "He's not very effective at all," Dubinsky tells the press.
Uh, Brandon? Zac's scored one goal this season as a 4th liner. The very same amount of lit lamps you've accomplished, only he's done so in one less game. Sure, you have 9-assists which is seven more than Rinaldo's got, but your role on the Rangers outweighs Zac's role on the Flyers by a landslide. If anything, you've been one of The Big Apple's disappointments on ice this season.
Perhaps what he meant was Rinaldo isn't effective at getting under their skin? YOU'VE PLAYED AGAINST HIM ONCE!
And where the hell does this guy get off calling an opposing skater "an idiot"? You share the same Blue Shirt with Sean Avery as a teammate, for Christ sake. Possibly the biggest buffoon this league's ever employed in its history.
The point is, Dubinsky's cutting on two players who may not even see a shift at the Winter Classic (Shelley, scratched. Rinaldo, loaned back to the Phantoms) if this Flyers roster gets healthy.
"I'd keep my mouth shut if I don't play," Brandon says.
Well, Dubs.....YOU play. And you've got virtually nothing to show for it. So now it's time you take your own advice.
