Alright, everyone. Stow away the excitement and the frivolous celebrating. The Pittsburgh Penguins are behind us, and we're on the brink of knowing which Eastern Conference Club is next to strike.
Minus the Flyers, each Eastern Conference squad in the post-season is facing elimination the next couple days. Surprisingly all the underdogs have taken their favored adversaries to Game 7 of their QuarterFinals series.
The Ottawa Senators have managed to upset the number one seeded New York Rangers in three games more than anyone expected (Series tied, 3 - 3). The Florida Panthers may actually be the real deal, and have dropped the New Jersey Devils on the scoreboard three times (Series tied, 3 - 3). And lastly, the Washington Capitals just won't quit, and have forced a Game 7 on the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Boston Bruins (Series tied, 3 - 3).
Tomorrow evening the NHL will host the OTT vs NYR, and NJ vs FLA elimination contests.
But tonight.....the big bad Beantown Bears skate against the Capitals at TD Garden for their elimination game.
The Philadelphia Flyers can literally face either of the six Clubs. This is how it breaks down...
