Morning Tweets: We're Developing a Window of Time, Here

I took to Twitter this morning to sorta broadcast my outlook on this crop of defensive talent, and, more particularly, the wait we're "suffering" through before they become NHLers.

Evgeny Svechnikov, Maybe an 'Under the Radar' Option at 7th

I'm not saying the Flyers will likely select Evgeny at 7th Overall. But we should not eliminate it as a possibility, or any other strong prospect ranked outside the Top 10 - 15 because, frankly, it's not unprecedented.

Medvedev Addition Buys Us Time

By signing Medvedev to a one-year deal, Hextall is buying time in the interim. It’s so obvious that he’s readying the roster to absorb a number of our prospects by 2016.

Finding The Next Backup Goalie Will Be An Interesting Challenge

Find me a high-end No.2 goalie with starter qualities, has pro experience, who comes at a cost less than $1 million, and trading is a last resort. To Europe we go!

The Next Flyers Head Coach Won't Be Perfect

Since Craig Berube’s firing, the debate in Philadelphia over the next coach to fill the role has been frustrating. Unless your last name is Babcock, you’re not the answer, you’ve never been an answer, and you’ll never be an answer.

Marcus Hayes from the Daily News has a simple solution to our future's success; just go ahead and trade Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek.

Morning Tweets: Would You Sell the 2015 1st Overall Pick? For Who, For What?

Crazy hypothetical: If the Flyers drew the 1st Overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, is there a trade you'd be willing to accept for it?

Midway Through the Season, Voracek Should Be Leading the Hart Memorial Race

There is no other player in the National Hockey League who's more valuable to a group of teammates than Jakub Voracek is to the Philadelphia Flyers.

Quick Shift: More Forechecking, Less Defensive Zone Dependency

We have to create more offensive chances for ourselves; and since virtually none of which can be contributed to by our defensive situations, I believe we'll have to rely heavily on the forecheck.

Hextall's State of the Flyers

We're two games from the midway point of the 2014-15 season; our record is 14 - 18 - 7 (35 points); we're 10-points outside of a Wild Card position, 12-points from 3rd Seed in the Metropolitan Division; our points percentage (0.449) is the lowest it has been since the '06-07 campaign (0.341); and we have 43 games left to turn things around.
