There is no more exciting time of year than the playoffs. Dreams can be made, or crushed, in a matter of seconds. Men can become the foundation for legend, or they can be chastised for years to come. There is no hiding from the white hot spotlight that is the NHL playoffs.
A young man from Hearst, Ontario has been rising from mediocrity all season. Emerging from the shadows like a Phoenix from the ashes, Claude Giroux, has become the man in Philadelphia. Once playing second fiddle to Richards, who’s “shift” cemented his place in the lore of Philadelphia, that time is no more. The fire that exudes from the diminutive Giroux is that of fable and tale. His will to win is second to none. The time has come for #28 to take his place among the legends of this city.
Enter game 6.
Flyers versus Penguins.
With the Flyers slipping ever closer to the abyss, it is time for a hero to rise. There is no better person to take the reigns, and lead the Flyers into the second round, than Claude Giroux. With the evil villains on the doorstep of history, it is time for the young warrior to unsheathe Excalibur, and slay the hellcat.
The enemy has invaded our town. The evil that boils from across the land can stand no more. A warrior will rise up and send the darkness back to that in which it came from. An epic battle awaits the orange combatants. Time to rise up and extinguish the black and gold evil that washes across the land like a tidal wave. Their time is no more. Their place is not here. It is our time. It is our place. Take that which is divinely yours!
Who will rise to the occasion and take the glory?
The time is now.
The warrior is here.
The hero will rise.
It is your time, #28. It is our time.
