Alright, as of today (December 19, 2011) the Flyers have a total of $1,379,159 in LTIR Room. That number is not extra money the Flyers have to simply play around with. That is just what the league has allowed them to go over the $64.3-Million cap ceiling with players like Pronger, Betts, Laperriere and Gustafsson listed as bona-fide long-term injured players.

When the accident happened I was legitimately worried that I just witnessed a full grown man skate screaming into a locker room clutching his actual eyeball in the palm of his hand. Could a visor have prevented this? Should the NHL mandate that all NHL players, rookies to vets, begin wearing protective visors on their helmets?

So Pronger dressed last night. I'm sure you either heard or saw it for yourself. Our Captain - who no one was positive would even be ready to start by the first game of the regular season - led his team on to the ice last night against Kovalchuk and the rest of those chumps from Newark, NJ.
