Gill Officially Off the Radar, & Nashville Officially Off the Reservation

Here is your perspective. It would be like the Flyers trading a beefier Harry Zolnierczyk, an older Eric Wellwood, AND a second round selection for Hal effin’ Gill.  Yeah

Sestito Out 6 - 8 Weeks with Torn Groin

Tom Sestito is looking at 6 - 8 weeks at riding the injured reserve. He tore his groin muscle while exchanging fisticuffs with Buffalo Sabre, Zack Kassian lastnight.

So Grossman's In Town...

Not only will Grossman's overall physicality help the Flyers blue line, but acquiring him now is great timing. After Saturday, our Broad Street Bullies go on a four-game road swing out West against the Jets, Oilers, Flames and Sharks.

The Sabres Got It Ruff, Wayne Train Domination 7 - 2

Simmonds accomplished his 20th goal of the season. His career first at reaching the mile marker. Wayne has been nothing short of amazing for the Philadelphia Flyers, and continues to make Paul Holmgren look like a genius for his off-season trades.

Flyers Add Some "Star" Power to a Lacking Blue Line

This is definitely a slam dunk by Holmgren.  The Flyers upgrade their defense, and, for all intensive purposes, don’t give up much in return.  They can still add around $2.7-Million (without giving up any players) in salary. So I think it goes without saying that Holmgren has another move, or two, up his sleeve.

Whiny Miller & Overpaid Leino Skate into Philly Tonight, Sabres vs Flyers

Heading into this evening, Buffalo's lost their last two contests and still remain 10-points outside the 8-seed of the Eastern Conference. The Sabres efforts have heaped at the bottom of an abyss this season and it doesn't look they're going to be able to make a run before the schedule ends. But they're still a dangerous squad to face.

Rinaldo Is Handed a Two-Game Suspension For His Launch on Ericsson, Was It the Right Call?

But I firmly believe the suspension was too much. Then again, I can live with the fact that Brendan Shanahan is merely using Rinaldo as an example for the rest of the league. We're all evolving; the game, the players, the fans. And it is only two games. That much I can live with.

The Flyers Loss Was Not Worth Missing "The Walking Dead" | Philly Gets Downed in Hockeytown, 4 - 3

Despite Brayden Schenn's two-goal evening, Philly lost two leads throughout 60-minutes of play. And it wasn't just losing the leads that had every soul wearing a Flyers crest discomforted; It was how quickly the opposition answered back.
