Tim Thomas: "Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Sudden Death!"

To many such as myself, I firmly believe a man like Tim Thomas was born with the right to make the decision he did, and I'm also fully capable of separating it completely from his job in an ice hockey net.

Hartnell's Natty Hatty Not Enough to Sink Black & Gold Ship

To skate away from this weekend with 3-points out of a possible 4 is absolutely energizing. Especially when you acknowledge the injuries we're suffering and the still-flaky goaltending. Though yesterday's competition was lost in the bitter seconds of a shootout, there's a million megatons of positives to transition over to Tuesday's puck-drop against the Florida Panthers

Everyone Calm Down on the "Re-signing Jagr" Talk, Business Comes First

Many are quick to jump on the opportunity and re-sign the 39-year old Czech native immediately without hesitation. On a lot of levels, this move does make sense. But there's still one fact that weighs on my mind; We haven't seen how he fairs in the final quarter of the regular schedule and post-season.

Giroux Is In A Funk, When Is He Going To Climb Out?

In my opinion, Giroux is stressing, he's trying to carry this team and he's trying to do too much. He should SHOOT THE PUCK MORE. This is nothing new, the guy always looks pass first. Unless he decides to be selfish on occasion, he won't be elite in this League.

Flyers get Tavares’d; Fall to Islanders, 4-1

Hopefully, the boys can remove heads from asses and show up for the game this time.  They can’t just show up and beat either of these teams this weekend, and next time they face the budding Islanders, they need to heed the same advice.

Lauren Pronger Speaks Out About Husband Chris Pronger, Says He Has "Good Days & Bad"

Lauren tells us how badly Chris wants to be playing right now, which should come to no surprise to no one. Prongs is a warrior, and a warrior doesn't know how to quit. But a mild brain injury like the one Chris has sustained is more than enough reason to curb his combatant charisma and yield to full health.

The Island Takes a Trip South to Philly, Staios Better Be Ready

Don't miss puck drop tonight at 7:00pm, CSN. Hopefully Cooter extends that streak of his, and Steve Staois gets battered like the filthy bitch his is.

Have A Coke And A Smile, Lots To Be Positive About

So, before you jump off the bandwagon and maybe give up hope, just remember; When Laviolette has the Flyers headed towards the right direction again, and you want to hop back on, there won't be any room.... especially with Pronger and Lappy taking up all the damn room in the handicapped seats.

JVR Looks Good in Toronto Blue; Why This Deal Makes Sense for the Flyers

It will definitely cost the Flyers one of their young and talented prospects.  Likely either Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier would head south along with defenseman Matt Carle, who is an UFA (unrestricted free agent) at season’s end. The problem is that Suter is also an UFA.  Meaning the Flyers could give up a promising future star for a player who could walk after the season.  “Rental” players as they’ve become known, are very risky. I have never been a fan of trading for an UFA.

Jagr Burps the Worm on the Bench

Of course he's not doing what we all are joking about him doing, but it certainly raised an eyebrow or two.....and apparently Jagr's trouser trout.
